C. F. Martin Style 0 Soprano Ukulele , c. 1924

C. F. Martin Style 0 Model Soprano Ukulele, c. 1924, made in Nazareth, PA, natural lacquer finish, mahogany body and neck, rosewood fingerboard.

A nice example of an early-1920's wooden-peg Martin Style 0 Uke. Although these were Martin's least expensive instrument, originally retailing in the $10-$12 range, they are still built to the company's highest standard and are considered amongst the best-sounding and playing ukuleles ever manufactured. This one is in good playing condition for the era, and has a wonderful tone with plenty of volume.
Overall length is 21 in. (0 cm.), 6 1/2 in. (0 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 2 1/4 in. (0 cm.) in depth, measured at side of rim. Scale length is 13 3/4 in. (0 mm.). Width of nut is 1 7/16 in. (0 mm.).

Some general wear; a tiny chip in soundhole edge, and one long repaired rim crack on treble side. Set up with reproduction correct style wood violin pegs. Plays and sounds excellent. Overall Very Good + Condition.
