Ambrotype of Musician with Flute, c. Late 1850's

Ambrotype of Musician with Flute (anonymous photographer), c. Late 1850's.

Here we have an exceptional period image of a gentleman posing with his flute. It appears to be an 8-key English model.
Height is 3 5/16 in. (8.4 cm.), 2 13/16 in. (7.1 cm.) width

The actual photo is one of the clearest and the cleanest ambrotypes we've come across.

The case is quite weathered. Typical of dag/ambro cases of this type, the binding has worn apart. Excellent Condition.
